Reunion

Becky and I have not seen each other for 5 years and we have known each other since we were 6 years old. During our visit we realized that Jaden is the same age as we were when we became friends. How freaky is that. And our mom's were younger than Becky and I when they started hanging out. It was fun getting together. It was just like old times. Love ya Becky. You have great kids and you are a great friend and mom. Keep up the good work.

Becky's oldest Chloe (8) and my oldest Jaden (6).

The kids hanging out. It's as if they have always been friends too.
Laura, Becky, and Liz. Maria my sister hung out with Liz growing up. Becky has 4 kids, Liz has 4 kids and Laura has 2 kids.

Mom and Beth haven't seen each other for about 20 years. They are determined to see each other more now that they live within a few miles from each other. But they visited like no time has passed them by.

It was great getting together and I hope we see each other sooner than 5 years.

Chiro Dinner & Pinks'

On Saturday Jake and I went to his Graduation dinner and reunited with his classmates. The dinner was held on the beach in Huntington beach. Good food and good company. Following the dinner our friend Phil was feeling spontaneous and suggested that we go to Pinks' for a hot dog. So off to downtown L.A. we go for a hot dog. This was my first time going to Pinks' and who would have thought at 12:30 a.m we would have to wait in line for an hour for a hot dog? Jake ordered us the "Today show" hot dog (which had guacamole, chili, cheese, onions, and two hot dogs in a bun) to share. So by 1:00 am I was clogging up my arteries and having my second meal of the night. Good times!!!! (For those that don't know, Pinks' is a famous hot dog joint where famous people are spotted. The film Oceans Eleven also had Pinks in the movie. Several items on the menu are named after famous people that eat there.)

California Visit to the L.A. Zoo

We were in California this past week. Jake had his boards part 4 to take, so we made a family trip out of it. Although we didn't see much of Jake during the week me and the kids spent time with cousins and just hanging out. One of the highlights of our trip was the L.A. zoo. Owen's first time to the zoo, and Jaden's first time to the L.A zoo. We had a good time.
Jaden on the hippo at the zoo's playground.
Jaden near the Flamingos, and boy did they stink.
Owen and Laura near the second oldest Rhino in the world.
Papa, Corey, and Jaden on the alligator at the zoo's playground.
Jaden directing Corey. Buddies and cousins.

Happy Birthday Owen

Owen turns 2 today. He was born at 10:05 am at Mt. San Antonio Hospital in Upland California. He weighed 8 pd. 9 oz. and he arrived 2 days early (my due date was November 5). He calls his red blanket that he got from Grammy a "boppie", sleeps with his boppie and his little stuffed animal Mickey Mouse which he calls "mo mo". Calls Jaden, "brother", loves to sing Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Happy B-Day, Patty Cake, knows the color yellow, loves Elmo, and knows which hand is his left and which hand is right. And he still LOVES vacuums. His middle name is his great grandma DeVroom's maiden name, and his first name we got from the actor Owen Wilson. We love you Owen Happy B-Day.

Trick-Or-Treat

We had fun this Halloween. Jaden had a fun parade at school and we went to my Brother Corey's house to trick-or-treat with them. The weather was nice here in Utah considering in years past it has been freezing. Jaden decided that he wanted to be Indiana Jones and Owen was a spider. Jaden even wore my great-grandfater's going-to-church-meeting-cap. It looked pretty good for being around 80-years old.
