Dawson Eating Rice Cereal

Dawson ate rice cereal for the first time tonight. He wasn't sure how to swallow the food, but was getting better at it towards the last few spoonfuls.

Owen's Birthday

Owen's birthday was November 3rd which landed on the day he had preschool. So for his birthday to take to school I made him monkey and sheep cupcakes.

Dawson

Goodbye bassinette and hello crib. Dawson has graduated to a crib and is no longer in our room. Two days ago I went to go get him from his nap and he had rolled from his stomach to his back. He's getting so big. He still prefers sleeping on his stomach over his back.

Owen starts Preschool

Owen started preschool and loves it! He wishes he had it everyday (so do I sometimes). He's in school on Mondays and Wednesdays for 2 1/2 hours. When Jake or I drop him off he doesn't like us to walk him to the door. He likes to be a big boy like Jaden and do it all on his own.

Dawson Update

So Dawson loves the football hold. Jake will hold Dawson on his arm like this and Dawson will fall asleep. Dawson drools a lot right now so Jake's arm gets really wet during this hold. Right now Dawson has been a really good sleeper. He's getting up between 5-7 am, and goes to sleep between 8:30-9:00. He's such a happy baby. He smiles and laughs a lot. We love him so much!!!
He likes his vibrating chair, likes his floor mat with his toys and mirror, and his swing. If he's not being held he's usually hanging out on his mat, chair or swing.

Pirate Oh's talk like a Pirate Day

We went to Pirate Oh's with Clare, Lucy and kids for talk like a pirate day. Jaden got a parrot balloon and a tattoo.

Pictures finally hung

I've had these picture frames that I've been wanting hung for a year now. Well Jake finally took the time to hang them for me in the entryway. Although, our family picture is now outdated I still wanted these pictures hung. Dawson is not in the family picture but he has some single shots in there.

Owen holding Dawson. Every now and then Owen decides that he wants to hold Dawson. He usually doesn't like holding him for more than a minute but I think he likes the idea that he can hold him (of course he still needs supervision, and assistance). This particular day he asked that I take a picture of him holding his little brother.

August 30, 2010

Mountain Mikes Pizza. Every Monday Mountain Mikes Pizza has 50% off your entire order so if I don't have big plans for dinner pizza it is. On this particular night they had a balloon maker and it was the end of his shift so he was generous enough to make the boys several different balloons.

Dawson's blessing was two weeks ago. Finally found an outfit for him, and all went well with family and friends being their to support him on this special day.

Owen Moments

So Owen loves wearing my high heels, he calls them his dancing shoes. On this particular day he goes into my closet and says to me, "Don't come in, don't see me naked." And then he comes out with my t-shirt (he said the shirt was his princess dress), and high heels on.

OWEN MOMENTS:
At church on Sunday, Owen asks Jake what the speakers name was. Jake's reply, "Amy". Owen's reply, "Mmmmm, my not like that name."

Owen says to mom, "Dawson has gunk in his ears you need to get a toothpick to clean it out."

Whenever we are at the store and Owen wants me to buy something for him he always says, "I want to barrow this. Please can we barrow this."

Owen had to get a picture in with Jaden on his first day of school. Owen starts preschool in a couple weeks and he can hardly wait, and WE can hardly wait too. We had Jaden's back to school night and Owen went up to a girl and went straight up to her face and just stared at her. I was calling him to come back to me, knowing that he was making her feel uncomfortable. (The poor girl was probably around 8 years old.) Owen finally came back to me and he comes up to me and immediately says, "I want to buy her." (Translation: he liked her, he wouldn't mind taking her home, wanted to be with her). Only Owen......

Owen and Dawson

One of the few pictures I can get of Owen with Dawson. He's either smothering him, or just does not want to take a decent picture with him. I hope these two grow up getting along, and being the best of buds.

Jaden has started 3rd grade.

Jaden has started 3rd grade, and I cannot believe I have a third grader. This is a photo of his first day of school. He's growing up so fast!

Owen's swimming

Owen has taught himself how to swim without any floating devices. He just took off his arm floaties and started swimming. He's been a fish ever since. We've been taking him to the pool everyday, sometimes even twice in one day.

Brothers Feet

Jaw dropping.....

Well at 5 weeks old Jake was able to balance Dawson on his hands. This is something that Papa likes to do it with the kids, and he would have loved to see this done as early as 5 weeks old. I have to admit it made me a little nervous, but then I asked Jake to try to do it again so that I could get it on video.

Oh Owen

So Owen got a hold of the marker and put it all over his eyes, showing us that he can wear make-up too.

Dawson in his swing

Dawson really enjoys his swing. Most of the time it puts him to sleep. It's hard to believe that he's old enough to be in a swing. He's growing so fast!!!!

Timpanogas Caves (July 31, 2010)

Jake took Owen and Jaden to Timpongas caves. This was Jaden's second trip to the caves and this was Owen's first trip. Jake said that he carried Owen most of the way up and most of the way down. Jaden was a true hiker, and managed to walk the whole way (good thing because dad wasn't about to carry him too).

Kyle's Visit

Kyle stayed over night with us before leaving back to California.

Dawson's current stats

Took Dawson to the doctors today because of his baby acne, and for his eye to be checked out. They gave me drops for his eye (he possibly has a blocked tear duct), and his acne should go away within the month. He currently weighs 10 lbs 14 oz. He's been waking up around 3:00 for his first feeding and then again around 5:00. There was a couple of nights he woke up at 5:00 for his first feeding, and that was nice.

Dawson's first doctors appointment

On July 20, 2010 Dawson weighed in at 9 lbs 5 oz and 22 inches long. He's a healthy growing boy. The whole family went to his appointment and watched the doctor due his circumcision. Nothing like hanging out at the Pediatricians as a family. And lets not forget that Owen found the closet where they store their vacuum. Way to end the visit.

Dawson Arie Luce

Dawson arrived on June 30, weighing in at 8 pounds 9 oz and 21 3/4 long. He's a great baby and mom, dad, and brothers are enjoying him to the fullest.

Grandpa Paske

Saturday morning we received a call that Grandpa Paske had passed away. We were able to say our goodbye's a few days before. The funeral is going to be held on Tuesday. We love you and you will be missed!

Little Cottonwood Canyon

Well tomorrow is my due date and we decided to hike little cottonwood canyon to see if labor starts. So far I am not showing any signs of going into labor. I of course haven't felt well as far as not being able to move around and do things that I was doing prior to my BIG belly. So rather than feeling miserable and tired we took the family on a hike.

St. George Iron Man

On Wednesday we left to St. George for the Ironman, and returned Sunday night. Jake was one of the doctors on staff, and since Jaden is off track we decided to make a family trip out of it. Thanks to our good friends, we were able to stay at their house so that we didn't have to stay in a hotel. During the time that Jake was working, me and the boys hung around the house, went to the park, or met up with Jake downtown where they had a lot of entertainment going on; bounce houses, food, water to play in, etc. It was a great trip and it's probably the last before the baby arrives.
