I'm pregnant!

Owen turns 3

Owen's b-day was on November 3rd. We had a family birthday party for him at Mc Donald's. He enjoyed his vacuum birthday cake to top it off. I also made some Elmo cupcakes.

Tid-Bits about Owen:
1. LOVES vacuums (still hasn't outgrown this obsession).
2. Enjoys going to the gym (mainly to hold and push around the gyms vacuums)
3. He can tell you the color of most family members vacuums.
4. He is beginning to use his imagination while playing.
5. He enjoys playing with cars that he can put people/things into.
6. Likes the movie Stuart Little, and T.V. show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Super Why!
7. Nickname by his dad: DUTCH (sometimes he sounds like he is speaking like a Dutch boy, gets up early like a Dutchman, his middle name is a Dutch name, and he is part Dutch. So it's fitting.)
8. Prefers drinking from a straw rather than straight from the cup.
9. Loves his boppie (his red blanket that his Grammy gave to him when he was little). Does not like sleeping with anything else touching. Only his boppie.
10. Likes to Wrestle with his older brother Jaden.

We love you Owen and we can't believe you are already 3 years old. You make us laugh, and continue to learn and grow each day.

Free Burrito at Chipotle

On Halloween Day Chipotle has a free boo-rito if you come in and dress up all or part of you as a burrito. This was Jake and Jaden's attempt for a free burrito, and it worked!!!!!

Halloween Day 2009

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch on Halloween day. The choices of pumpkins weren't the best but it was still fun for the kids to pick out their own pumpkins. We came home after the pumpkin patch and carved the pumpkins, and took a nap to prepare ourselves for trick or treating. Owen was a frog (Jaden's old costume), and Jaden was Snake Eyes (the Ninja on GI Joe).

Owen and baking

Owen LOVES to cook and bake. Whatever mom or dad is cooking up in the kitchen Owen has to be right there to help. This day Owen and daddy are baking brownies.

Success Story

Well yesterday Jaden had an eye doctors appointment at the Moran Eye Center, and the doctor mentioned that Jaden is a success story. After one surgery, and wearing glasses since he was a year in a half, the doctor said that Jaden probably won't have to wear glasses once he reaches his teen years. Jaden received a new perscription for his glasses and we hope that he continues to see improvement with his strabismus.

Family Time at Grandma Rogers

We ate dinner at Grandma Rogers house this Sunday. It was nice for the cousins and adults to get together and visit. The food was delicious too. Also, Grandma thanks for having us all at your house and thank you for the coloring books that you bought all the grandkids.

Laura's SOCCER

I have really enjoyed playing soccer this season. It's coming to an end and I will miss it during the winter months.

Bubble Bath/Owen

Owen once again used ALL the shampoo to make himself a bubble bath. I am going through shampoo and conditioner faster than I am going through toilet paper.

Owen decided to take a dip in the bathroom sink. I came in and this is what I found.

September 2009/Provo Canyon

We headed up to Provo Canyon with cousins to explore and see the beautiful colors in the trees. I just love this time of the year.

Soccer 09'

Jaden had his first soccer game of this season and he scored two goals. He was super excited and these pictures tell the whole story.

2nd Grade

Today was Jaden's first day of second grade.

Zermatt Resort and Spa

Jake surprised me and took me to Midway for a getaway and the Zermatt Resort and Spa. We enjoyed an all you can eat buffet, swimming, and lounging. What more could you ask for? 10 years ago we spent part of our honeymoon in Switzerland and 10 years later we are celebrating at a Resort that captures the Swiss feeling. Thanks honey. I love you and it's been a great 10 years. It was just what we needed.

Oquirrh Lake

The boys hanging out at the Lake which is only a few minutes from the house. Great sand, water, and sun. What more could you ask for?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JULY 31, 2009

SO WE HAVE HIT THE 10 YEAR MARK. JAKE AND I ARE CELEBRATING OUR 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. I LOVE YOU HONEY!!!! IT'S BEEN AN EXCITING, ADVENTUROUS, AND FUN 10 YEARS.

The Hankes,' from Fresno, came and stayed with us. It's hard to believe that our kids are almost the age that Kristie and I were when we first started hanging out with each other. Good times.
