Jaden's soccer season has ended. He enjoyed playing AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) for his second season. At this age and on this league they don't keep score (although the kids kept score). Jaden was player #8, team name Wahoo's.
Now it's time for the next sport.....Basketball.

Clovis California

This weekend we went to Clovis to visit our friends. Kristie and I grew up with each other in the Bay area. Now that we both live in California we try to get together with our husbands and kids. Here are some pictures of our visit.The kids just hanging out playing on Jaden's Nintendo DS.

While we were in Clovis, Jaden lost his bottom right tooth. He has lost a total of 3 teeth. The tooth fairy came and left him 4 quarters. He was happy.

All in all we just hung out like the good old days.

Beach Time!!!

Yeah, it's beach time.








My brother David and his family were in town visiting from Utah so we had a beach trip. We enjoyed some fun in the sun!! We are looking forward to several more visits to the beach now that the weather has gotten HOT.

Kids+Presents= A Happy Mother's Day

On Friday I went to Jaden's school for a Mother's Day tea. The kids sang to their mother's and gave them gifts that they had made. Below you will see Jaden's painting of me and the plate that he made for me. It was a great Mother's Day tea, and I will cherish that day forever!




Jaden, I loved eating cookies and drinking punch with you and the rest of the class. You were so excited about this day that you woke up at 6:00 am and said it was time to get ready for school. You don't have to be to school until 11:30. I appreciate all the thoughtful words you wrote to me (saying I weigh 96 pounds and 96 inches, I'm beautiful, I'm 32 years old, and I'm most happy when you smile). I adored your great singing voice during the kindergarten performance. What a special day it was with just me and you.

Jake got up with the kids today and let me sleep in. It was so nice not having to wake up with the kids and hurry along like we do every morning. I enjoyed sleeping in and relaxing around the house until it was time to get ready for 1:00 pm church. Honey thank you for all that you do and for the nice mother's day gift. Your the BEST!!!!!!!

Almost to the finish line!!!!

Congratulations Jake on passing your board exams. We knew you could do it!!! Jake has passed his second/third and physiotherapy board exams and we are SO proud of him. He received his scores today online. He is relieved to have completed these board exams thus far and he has passed them on his first try. He is drawing nearer to the end of school and has completed all his courses and is now just putting in hours at the clinics. Another hurdle cleared.

Domestic

Well I finally attempted to use the sewing machine and made some hooded baby bath towels. Thanks to my mom (the professional) guided me through and taught me how to use the sewing machine and how to make the towels. I didn't do such a bad job on my first domestic project. For those that know me, this was quite an undertaking. I am not crafty so this was really stretching myself. I have to say I had fun using the sewing machine and these towels make good baby gifts.

I added the yellow trim on this hood. Something simple but adds color. Jake was so proud of me for challenging myself and for finally making something crafty. For some reason he really wanted me to learn to use the sewing machine. Often times I've had to tell him that some things are just cheaper to buy than make, right?
