Owen turns Five

We went to Disneyland on the day of Owen's 5th birthday. Dawn's family and my mom joined us for this special day. Thank you Shauna for watching Dawson for us.

Dawson's first birthday

We celebrated Dawson turning 1 at the park in our neighborhood. Dawson dove into his cake and got a little shy when we sang happy birthday. Dawson, is getting good at walking across the family room, can take around 4-5 steps before falling. He loves playing with balls, likes to take baths, and enjoys wrestling with his brothers. It's hard to believe he is a year old. Thank you family for all his birthday gifts and for attending his 1 year old birthday party.

Dixie Sign

Owen says

Owen says to me while we were swimming, "Mom, why can you touch the bottom of the pool and I can't." My reply, "Because you have to be five feet." Owen says, "Five feet....., you don't have feet."

Dawson update

Dawson is now standing on his own. Is able to go from sitting to standing without holding onto anything. Is taking a couple steps prior to falling. Weighs 18 pounds. Enjoys wrestling with his brothers. Is learning to crawl down the stairs. Did not like whole milk so we went back to formula. Will finish the can of formula and go back to trying whole milk. Likes rolling around in his blankets on the floor, and gives high five. Last but not least, whenever Jake comes through the doors after work Dawson is always looking for Jake's pen hanging from the top of his ear. Dawson enjoys taking it off and trying to put it back on.

Dragon Award

Jaden received the Dragon Award from school. This reward is a result of good attendance and academics. Great job Jaden. The whole family was there to support him.

St. George & Zions Canyon

We spent Memorial Day weekend in St. George and Zions Canyon. During our drive to Zion's Canyon Owen says, "I want to jump on the clouds." And during our drive on the shuttle up to the area where we were going to hike Owen says, "Her face isn't old but her arm is." (referring to our shuttle driver). During our hike he kept yelling to Jake, "You who wait for me. Oh You Who." Owen also says to a couple resting and drinking some water, "Your going to melt." There is no doubt that he says what is on his mind.

Owen's Preschool Graduation

Owen had a great Preschool graduation. He did a skit to Goldie Locks & The Three Bears, sang songs, and received his diploma.

Kitchen diswasher

Dawson's new thing is to climb up on the dishwasher which makes it a little challenging trying to load or unload when he's around.

Dawson's breathing treaments at home

We have been giving Dawson breathing treatments at home. This is helping the inflammation in the lungs as well as opening up his lungs. Does he like doing this, No. But manages to do pretty good when he's watching someone blow bubbles for distraction. His treatments take about 5 minutes, which to a 10 month old probably seems like 30 minutes.

Dawson's new cup

I just bought this cup for Dawson and he took to it right away. I am planning on taking the bottle away next month so this cup will be what he drinks his liquids from.

Me and Jaden and Owen at the Ironman

Love my boys.....for Mother's Day Jake let me sleep in and then Michelle and I went out for Thai food and ate in peace and quiet and just enjoyed having a few hours to ourselves. It was a great Mother's Day and I am so grateful that I am a mother to 3 wonderful boys, and I am especially grateful to my mother who is an outstanding, selfless, and loving person.

St. George IronMan 2011

So for the second year in a row we attended the Ironman in St. George. It was so fun this year having Michelle and her family around to hang out with. Last year we stayed at their home while they were in California, but this year they were there to hang out with us. We really appreciated them putting up with our family and giving us a nice place to stay. Of course hanging out with Michelle just like we did in College is always fun for me (even if it's with a total of 6 kids under the age of 9). Jake was the Doctor on the Ironman staff for ART so while he was out treating the athletes Michelle, the kids and I were hanging out.

Kids Iron Man Run (1 mile)

Marcus & Jaden did the "Kids Ironman Run" which was 1 mile. Both Marcus and Jaden finished and had such a good time doing it. We are going to make this a tradition and get them involved in this every year. It was so fun for us to watch and cheer the boys on!! Way to go!!!!!

Dawson's hair

When Dawson's hair gets wet it gets curly. This particular day after his bath it was especially curly. And just a side note, hair product is not put in his hair to make it like this....but I'm tempted to try moose or something to keep it looking curly. I LIKE IT!!!

Dawson, all about the stairs

Dawson loves going up the stairs. The only problem is, he doesn't know how to come down without getting hurt. We have invested in a gate so now he can only go up the stairs with supervision.

Thursday....long day

The kids were all home with me on Thursday and Jaden and Owen were NOT getting along. Finally I sent Owen to his room and Jaden went missing, until I located him here on the floor by the side of the couch asleep. Owen fell asleep, Dawson was down for his nap, and Jaden was asleep. Ahhhhhhh, peace and quiet. No I didn't nap, clean, or watch t.v. Spent a few hours on the ipad.

Sports Camp

Last week Jaden went to an off track sports camp and got hit by a hola hoop. OUCH!!

Dawson's teething

Poor little guy has been teething the last couple of days and he has been sooooo miserable. I hope his bottom teeth come up soon. Hate to see him to sad.
